Chat logs
Gplus allows you to log your chats locally and view them later. Conversations are logged in the html format and can be viewed using your web browser or the chat log viewer that comes with Gplus.

Text Formatting
Gplus allows you to add color to your text messages by giving you the ability to use text formatting such as bold, italic, etc…

Text filters
Gplus allows you to define text filters. Filters can be used to censor certain words your contacts may use. They can also be used as aliases that allow you to say more while typing less.

Multilingual
Upcoming versions of Gplus will be multilingual and will reflect the language used by Google Talk.

Sony to Launch VAIO AR7, FZ4, SZ7 Penryn Laptops

  Sony has prepared the VAIO AR7, FZ4, and SZ7 notebooks, featuring the Intel’s first 45-nanometer Core 2 Duo Mobile processors, codenamed “Penryn”, and the “Santa Rosa Refresh” mobile platform.

The leaked specifications of the 17-inch Sony VAIO VGN-AR730E/B, VGN-AR750E/B, and VGN-AR760U/B say these entertainment laptops will be available with the Intel Core 2 Duo “Penryn” T8100 CPU at 2.1GHz, while the top of the line VGN-AR790U/B features the T9300 at 2.5GHz. The systems come with 2GB or 4GB of RAM, and 320GB or 400GB hard drives, depending on model, as well as with Blu-Ray optical drives. Prices of the “Penryn”-based VAIO AR7 notebooks listed on Monstronix website range from $1,678 to $3,257.

One of the 15.4-inch Sony VAIO FZ4 notebooks - the VGN-FZ410E/B - comes with the Core 2 Duo T8100. This mainstream laptop, incorporating 2GB of system memory, a 250GB hard drive, and the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 integrated chip, is available for preorder through Amazon.com for $1,249.99.

According to Monstronix, the 13.3-inch Sony VAIO VGN-SZ730E/C and VGN-SZ750N/C notebooks also feature the 45nm Intel Core 2 Duo T8100. The VAIO VGN-SZ760N/C has the T8300 processor at 2.4GHz, while the higher-end VGN-SZ770N/C and VGNSZ791N/X utilize the already mentioned T9300. The leaked VGN-SZ7 models will ship with a 200GB to 250GB hard drive, and 2GB, 3GB and 4GB of main memory. These laptops have “RazorThin” LCD panels with LED backlighting. The prices range from $1,678 to $2,468.

The Intel Core 2 Duo Mobile 45nm processors are claimed to provide a longer battery life, better performance, and cooler operation than the previous generation of 65nm Core 2 Duos, codenamed “Merom”. The “Penryns” are designed for the “Santa Rosa Refresh” platform, which will additionally enable a use of an optional third-party chip for hardware decoding of high definition multimedia content.

Microsoft to release IE 8 beta 1 in first half of 2008

Microsoft plans to release the first beta of the next version of Internet Explorer in the first half of 2008 and said Wednesday that IE 8 has passed a key Web standards test that ensures the browser won’t "break" the Web.

IE8 has passed the "Acid2 Browser Test" from the Web Standards Project, which shows whether a browser renders a Web site in a certain way. If the browser renders the site correctly, it means the browser supports certain accepted Web standards.

Microsoft posted a video about the browser passing the test on its Channel 9 Web site.

HP Releases Pavilion dv2700, dv6700, dv9700 Notebook Series

Hewlett-Packard has replaced this morning its Pavilion dv2500, dv6500, and dv9500 consumer notebook series with the new HP Pavilion dv2700, dv6700 and the dv9700.

Customers now can choose between the Intel-powered dv6700t and dv9700t, or AMD processor-based dv6700z and dv9700z. The dv6700 laptops feature 15.4-inch displays, while the dv9700 has a 17-inch screen. There are also the 14.1-inch dv2700t with Intel CPU and special edition models - the Pavilion dv6700tse, dv2700tse, and dv2700tbw.

Our first impression is that the new HP Pavilion notebook PCs have the same specifications as their precursors. We will report soon if there are any hardware or design novelties in the released laptops.

Microsoft’s new Connect Beta site!!!!

Microsoft have released the new connect beta site for it’s elite users to test the latest software’s provided by Microsoft.The release number on the connect beta site reads as Build Microsoft.Connect 3.00.00.0125   Many improvements have been made in this new site and also the user interface has been improved to a greater extent
