AIEEE 2008 solutions and cutoff!!
It me be a bit off topic but I had just given the AIEEE exam and everyone is searching for it’s solutions so I planned to write about it.I have searched the whole net but wasn’t able to find the solutions till yet,I would be also posting the solutions as soon as it is available

Career point AIEEE 2008 solutions
The expected cutoff for top 1000 ranks would be around 235 to 240 as the paper was bit hard and also they had twisted bit of the questions.The most surprising thing was the assertion reasoning questions in the exam.
May people do have queries about the rank so here is the expected rank list-
Above 250-top 500
225-250 top 1000
190-225 Above 10000
175-190 10000-20000
150-170 20000-30000
130-150 30000-40000
110-130 40000-70000
90-110 70000-100000
These ranks are just estimates and they may vary

Arun I had also given the examination I know many getting above 250 atleast 15 20 so It will be somewhere around this only

Prakhar it would be somewhere around 70000 or so I would be going to the institute in the evening and would get full details about it
I had personally checked some of the solutions of Narayana and have found some faults in the answers specially in assertion reasoning questions and some other answers also dont match so before making the final decision check the answers of others also.

Arun I am taking coaching in local institutes but have also joined FIITJEE and Brilliant tutorials for test series I had tried to contact the fitjee and brilliant but due to sunday no one is replying so I had asked my coaching sirs and even some of my friends who would be getting surely in first 50 or so and U would be also getting around 30000 to 35000

Anil I really dont know about the sc categories but looking at the past examples even if U get 125000 rank or so U could easily get any of the NIT and sandhu it would be around 6500o or so

Jyoti If U have state quota then U do have seats reserved in colleges like 50% in chandigarh to 85% in DCE and yes the seats are also reserved in NIT it’s approximately 50%
Gaurav U may get in a good private college
yeswanth Ur rank would be around 3000 in IIT and U can surely get civil engineering

i went thru the aieee08 papers.i think this paper was quiet difficult compared to the standard of aieee07.i had given aieee07 thats why i can roughly predict the ranks ..this time cutoffs will dip..
last time a scoreo of 211-218 would have fetched u a rank betwin 9k 2 10k…expect a 10 mark dip there.
a score of 230 might take u somewhere bitwin 4900-5500.
anythin more than 250 is a 3000-4300 roughly
take 4rm me there is goin to be a dip in marks

Rajest the NIT’s seats are finished around 50000 to 60000 so it would be a bit tough to get a seat in NIT
Soumyajit state rank is calculated among the students who reside in Ur state or who belong to the state.A separate list is made for the state rank and admissions in the state are on this bases

Anup even if U get around 40 to 45 U would be getting in NIT,seeing from the previous years 60 marks in general category were around 1.5 lakh rank and 1.5 lakh rank in SC category is good even in Chandigarh where the seats in PEC are over for 10000 rank the SC get it easily in 70000 rank so U can expect in NIT

Soumyajit U can apply for a NRI quota if any of Ur relative lives abroad he may sponsor U
Ankit in IIT Ur rank would be around 5000 and in AIEEE it would be around 10000

Ritesh as far as I know quota will be applicable from this year onwards but it would be around 5 to 7% only

you guys do know that the papers was of 315 marks and not the usual 360 right? its great you guys are getting above 200, but an average student who has studied wont manage to get above 100, it was a very tough papers and unlike previous aieee papers only a fraction of the question were based upon logical reasoning, the chunk being knowledge based. i’m afraid the aieee papers are heading towards being more like the cbse board papers, where all you have to be is mug it all up and puke it out on the paper. i can with a some degree of surity that this is not good for the educational system and this is not good for people with high iq and basic reasoning skills. i’m very disappointed with my paper and further i’m very disappointed with the future of competitive exams. the ones who have got beyond 200, well done, but what about the rest, are we all going to stay home another year solely because of the unfit paper and the vastly unskilled paper setters? this needs to be changed, but it won’t as it favours the majority and frankly because no one likes to race their brains, but they all do love mugging.

Abhinav I want to say something.Though the paper was bit tough I do agree on that point and the paper was also even time consuming with some lengthy calculations to be done but U must see that every good college needs the best students who can compete in future as U may be hearing their was many news that many students who have joined IIT’s and NIt’s the previous year were not suited for it because the paper was easy everyone can do it.Now this time as the paper was tough only good students could do it which would definitely result in the selection of good students and talking about AIEEE going towards CBSE, it’s really good it would stop the students going to the coaching institutes.We here haven’t gone to the school for the past 2 years just going to the coaching centres and all.

The cut off will be low as the paper is of 315 marks and also 2 questions are wrong that makes it of 309 marks.

ISMU dhanbad is great specially in terms of the pay package
sundeep Ur expected rank would be around 2500
Anurag maybe U would get into some NIT but the field would not be good
Aparna U could get in some private college easily and even in some universities also

ankur, i m scoring about 77….i know that i wont get NITs but can i get admission in some deemed universities and IIITs which take students based upon AIEEE marks.
You told that ranks till 60,000 will get NIT then is there any chance that with my 70000 rank i might get into BIT RANCHI or sum other coll……plzzz reply….i m vry upset n worried…help me..

ppl dont waste time in searchin for ur ranks…. last year i did the same…. i can assure wen result will come u’ll get a surprise …. good/bad…. these predictions are extremely baseless…. believe me…. 5% probability of gettin true…. i dropped an year…. and last year i saw many many such predictions…. unfortunately all were wrong…..

Siddharth Ur rank would be somewhere around 13000 to 14000.
Eshan you would be getting around 25000 to 30000 rank,getting in DCE is not pssible because min cutoff for DCE would be around 240,ya you may get in Jaypee or Dhirubhai
Saurabh U can get a seat in most of the NIT’s
RIGEL it’s difficult to get into NIT at such score
APARNA U would be surely getting a call for central counselling
SIRISH why not go for DCE U will definitely get it there and it’s the best and U could easily get NIT Tiruchy or warangal
Palavi Ur state rank would be around 3500 and state rank will be less than 100
anku Ur state rank would around 6500 and cant tell Ur state rank it depends on Ur state code of eligibility
Rachit it’s difficult to get into a good college,IIIT and BIT no way they are high ranked colleges atleast 170 but U may get in some deemed university

i’m gettin 113 in jee, 114 in aieee, 66/120 in vit, what about my chances? i’m a general category student. IIT would surely be difficult to get! in aieee i’m very-2 disappointed. is vit score good enough? plz give ur valuable suggestion. sanchit I cannot tell about the cutoff of the state rank of all the states I only knew of the nearby states like Punjab,Haryana,CHd
Divyam Ya U may get to the 5000 mark because the paper was really tough
Tanya please tell where do U live then only I could suggest U.
Namrata it’s a bit difficult to get into these good NIT’s at these rank
