Microsoft Planning to buy facebook?

Microsoft Logo After the failed takeover attempt of Yahoo, according to the Wall Street Journal Microsoft is in possible process of acquisition of Facebook.

The newspaper reports that the Microsoft investment Bankers have recently contracted Facebook for the full acquisition of the Social Networking Site however the Microsoft and Facebook spokesperson declined to comment on it.It is being believed that the Microsoft’s 1.6% stake valued at $240 million in $15 Billion  Facebook, in a deal that values the social networking company at $15 billion Social Networking site which Microsoft bought in Oct 2007 was the stepping stone to this acquisition.

Facebook has been  founded by Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg in 2004 , has become one of the most visited site on the net. Facebook currently has more than 70 million active users.

In the past, Zuckerberg has resisted selling the entire company, opting to work as an independent company.

If they do aquire facebook, ill be boycotting. Id rather support google than microsoft
