To enter, just register your gamertag by downloading the NXE Download & Win Gamer Picture, and then download any of the premium Marketplace content listed below.
The NXE Download & Win entry period begins at 6:01 A.M. Pacific Time (PT) on November 19, 2008, and ends at 11:59 pm PT on November 23, 2008. The more you download the more entries you receive, up to a maximum of ten entries per person.
Before registering for the sweepstakes, make sure your Xbox LIVE account information is accurate! Potential winners will be notified by the sweepstakes administrator and have their prizes shipped using the contact info (e-mail, phone, and address) on their Xbox LIVE profile. If your contact info is not up-to-date you will be disqualified from winning a prize.

Sweepstakes Registration
You must register for the sweepstakes before the end of the entry period on November 23, 2008 by downloading the New Xbox Experience Download & Win Gamer Picture:
Before November 19:
- Sign in to Xbox LIVE Marketplace
- Select Game Store
- Select All Games
- Select New Xbox Experience
- Select NXE Download and Win Gamer Picture from the list of available content and select Confirm Download
- Upon the successful completion of the Gamer Picture download, you will see a Thank You for Registering message.
After November 19:
- Sign in to Xbox LIVEMarketplace
- Select Themes & Gamer Pictures
- Select AllThemes & Gamer Pictures
- Select All
- Select New Xbox Experience
- Select NXE Download and Win Gamer Picture from the list of available content and select Confirm Download
- Upon the successful completion of the Gamer Picture download, you will see a Thank You for Registering message.
You may also access the free NXE Download and Win Registration Gamer Picture via the banner ads running on the Xbox LIVE dashboard.
Sweepstakes Entry
You will automatically receive one entry into the sweepstakes when you download the New Xbox Experience (automatic) and redeem Microsoft Points for downloadable Xbox LIVE Marketplace content in any one of the following categories:
- Movie
- TV Show
- Full Arcade Game
- Xbox Originals
- Game Add-On
- Music Video
There is a maximum limit of ten total entries per person.
Prize Information
After the sweepstakes is over, 46 winners will be selected from all eligible entries to receive the following prizes:
- One Grand Prize: 500,000 Microsoft Points
- Five First Prizes: 50,000 Microsoft Points
- Ten Second Prizes: 10,000 Microsoft Points
- Thirty Third Prizes: 5,000 Microsoft Points

New Mobile Search Release
Phil reports that the mobile search team has been working hard, getting ready for a new release of the browser service: http://m.live.com. This service works on every mobile phone that has a browser.
So what’s in this release?
- Optimized experience for the iPhone
- Product Search (US only), compare products and prizes on the go.
- Directions: besides driving directions there’s also walking directions (US, UK, France and Italy only at the moment)
- A more personalized mobile experience: save your frequently visited locations via ZIP codes. Quickly check out the weather, traffic or find which movie to see.
- xRank (US and China): check out the latest news, and pictures, about your favorite celebrity, politician or musician.

Windows Vista £10,000 Business Challenge
Would you like to win a business makeover worth around £10,000? Of course you would - all you have to do is submit your business challenge in no more than 50 words. Challenges should be related to IT, not to the economy, competitors or difficulty finding the ‘right’ people for example. You have until 19 December to submit your entry, after which a panel of judges will select five businesses who they feel stand to benefit the most from Microsoft software. Each of these five businesses will be given a Windows Vista laptop - which will be theirs to keep - which they must use to address their challenge.
The overall winner will be the business judged to have deployed their laptop most effectively. They will win up to 10 Windows Vista laptops (number dependent on the size of the business) as well as the help of a Small Business Specialist to overcome their IT challenges, worth over £10,000. The competition closes December 19 2008 and the five preliminary winners will be announced on 5 January 2009, with the overall winner announced on 2 February 2009.

World Of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King- Launches TODAY!
Blood Elves, Paladins, Gnomes and Sorcerors all gathered last night for the long awaited release of World Of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King. The game hits store shelves today but the party was at GameStop last night in San Francisco. All the WOW’ers came out for face painting, dance contests, giveaways and some good old fashioned comraderie. I joined in the fun and sported my best chain mail attire- take a look!
